i 1'–4' [. . .], king of Karanduniaš, and [. . ., king of Assyria], concluded a mutual [accord] and, together, fixed the boundary. [. . .] constructed and restored [. . .].
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i 5'–9' Kadašman-Ḫar]be (I), son of Kara-indaš (and) son of Muballiṭat-Šerūa, [daughter of] King Aššur-uballiṭ (I) of Assyria, gave the order to reduce the Suteans from the East to the West and <brought> their large forces to non-existence. He strengthened the fortifications of the citadels in the mountains of Šaršar (Jebel Bišrī), dug wells there, and settled people on fertile lands in order to help guard it.
i 9'–14' Later the Kassite people revolted against him and killed him. They put Šuzigaš, a Kassite, a son of nobody, to exercise kingship over them. [King] Aššur-uballiṭ of Assyria [m]arched [o]n Karanduni[aš] to avenge Kadašman-Ḫarbe, his daughter's son. [He killed] Šuzigaš the Kassite [and made Kurigalzu (II), son of Kadaš]man-Ḫarbe, ascend the thr[one of his father].
ii (Lacuna)
ii 1'–9' [. . .] over them [. . .] and a cry [. . .]. The enemy seized him. Together . . . [. . . he] crushed [them and] left no one alive. Those who had fa[llen(?) . . .] were treated(?) harshly, (and) their blood [stained(?)] the rolling sea. [. . .] were ordered out, the troops mutinied, [. . .] their requests (and?) the troops were appeased. He gathered the enemy's great wealth (and) heaped it up.
ii 9'–14' Again the contending [forces declared]: "We did not know, Kurigalzu, that you [had triumphed(?)] over all the people, that we had no rival among the people! Now you [. . .]. We took the road, found the place where you were, and we ourselves [carried(?)] gifts! We contributed [to your victories(?)]!" Again he [. . .]: "[. . .] their [. . .] and [. . .]"
Rev.
iii
iii 1–9 [. . .] thousands [. . .] thousands [. . .], a thousand piebald horses, their gifts [. . .]. He caught a spy and brought a soldier [. . .], put guards in place (and) set the term [. . .]
iii 6–9 "[. . .] just back from your journey. I brought silver, gold, precious st[ones, (and) I made(?)] a dais of pure gold for Marduk my lord, [. . .]. Babylon and Borsippa were sending to me regularly [. . .]."
iii 9–19 King Ḫurba-tila of Elam [appealed] to Kurigalzu: "Come! Join battle, you and me, at Dūr-Šulgi!" Kurigalzu, having heard and [. . .], marched on Elam to conquer it. King Ḫ[urba-tila] of Elam [joined] battle with him at Dūr-Š[ulg]i. He beat a retreat before him, and Kurigalzu infl[icted] a defeat on him. He laid hands on the king of Elam, (and) Elam in its totality [. . .]. Falling on his knees, King Ḫurba-tila of Elam (declared): " I know indeed, O King Kurigalzu, that this crown [. . .]. With the kings of all the countries [I bring(?)] Elam's tribute."
iii 19–22 With conquest in mind [he marched] on King Adad-nērārī (I) of Assyria and [joined] battle [with him] at Sugāga that is on the Tigris; he massacred his troops and [captured] his officers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
iii 23–24 Nazi-maruttaš son of [. . .] (and) the king of Assyria at the c[ity. . .]
(Lacuna)
iv
iv 1–8 [. . .] he cast off(?) the iron chains and [. . . Tukult]ī-Ninurta (I) returned to Babylon and [. . .] brought together [. . .]. He battered down Babylon's wall, cru[shed] the Babylonians. Among the booty, he carried away the riches of the Esagila and Babylon. He took the great lord Marduk [out of] his [dwel]ling-place and made him set out for Assyria. He installed his own governors in Karanduniass. For seven years Tukultī-Ninurta dominated Karanduniaš.
iv 8–13 After the officers of Akkad (and) Karanduniaš had rebelled and installed Adad-šuma-uṣur on his father's throne, Aššur-nāṣir-apli, his (Tukultī-Ninurta's) son, the Assyrian officers revolted against Tukultī-Ninurta, who had laid [hands] on Babylon for evil (purposes). They deposed him from his throne, locked him in a room in Kār-Tukultī-Ninurta, and put him to death. [For x+]6(?) years, until (Ninurta)-tukultī-Aššur, Bēl resided in Assyria. In the time of (Ninurta)-tukultī-Aššur, Bēl went to [Bab]ylon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
iv 14–16 [In the time of] King Enlil-nādin-šumi, King Kidin-Ḫutrudiš(= Ḫutran) of Elam took the offensive. [He ca]rried out a raid against Nippur (and) scattered its inhabitants. [He destro]yed Dēr and the (temple) Edimgal-kalama. He carried off its people, drove them away, and deposed King Enlil-nādin-šumi from his power.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
iv 17–22 [In the time of Ad]ad-šuma-iddina, for the second time, Kidin-Ḫutrudiš took the offensive against Akkad. He [. . .], destroyed Isin, crossed the Tigris, [. . .] all of Marad, (and) [inflicted] a formidable defeat on a very great people. [. . .] with oxen [. . .] he changed(?) into desert [. . .].
