[when . . .] distance Tiāmat organized battle, (when) [she plotted] evil against the gods, her offspring; (when) she established an army and made war, (when) she exalted the command of [Qingu], her consort; (when) the tablet of destinies [. . .] she entrusted to him, (when) improperly for him she appointed [him to the divine power] of Anu's position – the gods [learned] that she prepared warfare, so [. . .] they turned to him (Marduk) in the assembly of his father.
