ii 8–10 Month Kislīmu, 4th day, at dawn the gate in front of Bēl will be opened and, apart from water for the hands being proffered to Bēl, Nādin-mê-qātī and Mukīl-mê-balāṭi will come down from the cella and will be seated in their places at the gate of the cella. The arranging of the alû-drums repeat as for the 8th day of Tashrītu.
ii 11–15 The main meal of the morning will be served to Bēl. At the time that the meal is served to Bēl, a golden vat between the alû-drums will be filled with top-quality beer, four fermenting vats will be placed by the container to the left of the court. Two will be placed by Kamaḫ. Beer-mash will be put in them, it will be pounded, and water will be added.
ii 15–30 While it is being sprinkled in front of Bēl, the singer <will chant> Enūma Eliš to Bēl. At (the recitation of the line,) "For Usmû, who carried your present to give the news," the mār-šalāli(?) priest will raise a palm frond and place it on a silver tablet opposite Bēl. ii 31–36 The dressing and the presence of the slave and [bull at the lower] end of the ramp, repeat as for the 3rd day. Apart from chanting the "hand-raising" prayer to Bēl, the craftsman will go from between the alû-drums to the shrine of Bēltiya. He will enter and leave, (repeat) the rites, he will sound the gong and will the "hand-raising" prayer to Bēltiya: "Live, yes live!" After/Behind the alû-drums of slave and bull, he will enter and leave the courtyard of Bēl.
ii 36–41 The water rites and "hand-raising" prayer which is for Bēl and Bēltiya, repeat as on the third day. They (i.e. slave and bull?) will move <with> Usmû from the presence of Bēl and will stand on the path of the shrine. They will take the hand of Muštēšir and will stand with Usmû. The slave will come and go down among [those entitled to enter the temple with] Usmû.
